Life Aint That Long and NOWThen make numerous "Best of 2018" lists!

1. Robert Christgau's 2018 Dean List

In fact we made Robert Christgau's 2018 Dean List in the top 15 albums, not once but TWICE, #6 and #14.  Making this pretigous list twice in one year has only happened a total of 8 times since 1971, and since 1980 only in 2011 (Wussy) and 2018 (me & Wussy)! a rare event indeed!  I couldn't be more proud and flabbergasted!

2.  Ear To The Ground 2018 Artists and Bands of the Year

“Artist of the Year (Non-Nashville):

“I like it when I "discover" and artist before most others - think Jon Latham or Darrin Bradbury, that is not the case with Rich Krueger. He was named the 2018 Kerrville New Folk Award winner and later in the year, critic Greil Marcus gave Krueger a positive review in Rolling Stone. In my defense, I didn't know any of this when I first heard Rich Krueger's songs. I just knew that I had "discovered" a great songwriter. I have to tell I kind of circular story for a second, back in late 2013, a friend on Facebook said something like, there just aren't great songwriters like their used to be. At the time, I didn't have a counter. I was mostly writing about bands and the sound at the time. Shortly after that, though, I heard Darrin Bradbury's songs and knew that friend (who has great musical tastes by the way) was wrong. I tell that story because Rich Krueger reconfirms for me that their are great songwriters working today. So, Kerrville and Greil Marcus - I have to acknowledge your scoop. Honestly, though, I could not think of a more deserving recipient for 2018 Artist of the Year than Rich Krueger.” - Joe Wolfe-Mazere

3.   Top Ten Songs of 2018 at Belwood Music

#7 “The Gospel According to Carl” from Life Aint That Long.   "Lord, they don’t make them like this anymore. Trends come and go but a good story can last a lifetime, and Rich is one hell of a storyteller. This soulful tale of a crooked salesman seeing the error of his ways has been one of the biggest surprises of the year. It’s a track that I’ll find myself coming back to for a long while to come, and that’s the gospel truth."

4Tony Ives' The American Music Show Best of 2018!

NOWThen is #2 on Tony Ives' The American Music Show Best of 2018! Fantastic! A huge honor!
“Behold glorious arrangements, humorous lyrics and killer melodies. The new Randy Newman?” - Tony Ives
